To provide a broad range of responsive minor works and larger scale design & build refurbishment services for Tower Hamlets public buildings and support centres to meet the requirements of staff and service users. Works delivered include those against a partnering schedule of rates for minor works, responsive maintenance, re-decorations and the refurbishment of buildings and facilities requiring multi trade skills and expertise from S&D.

S&D responded promptly from its offices, stores and workshop located in Tower Hamlets to all client requirements. For almost 15 years S&D has developed a solid reputation for delivering responsive, professional and quality services in many challenging working environments operated by Tower Hamlets, e.g. social support and welfare centres. S&D also delivered building refurbishment services into schools funded directly by Tower Hamlets.

Tower Hamlets is an ethnically and culturally diverse local authority that delivers a wide range of support services for all age groups and to disadvantaged individuals and groups that in many instances have special needs or requirements.

S&D recently completed a large scale Part M DDA compliance project across six major public buildings and offices to improve public access. S&D installed new accessible WC and showering facilities, improved accessible kitchens, rest rooms and fire emergency evacuation facilities for daily use by Tower Hamlets staff and visitors.

S&D has delivered, for example, renewed staff kitchen and WC facilities, as well as a new stainless steel teaching kitchen that encompasses rise and fall work top and sink units to enable wheelchair bound users to take full advantage of Tower Hamlets occupational training courses.

S&D's long term relationship with Tower Hamlets Facilities Management and its Building and Technical Services teams has allowed S&D to collaborate with Tower Hamlets to significantly improve standards and expectations for the benefit of the diverse communities it serves.
